Personality And Colour... And You...

We are constantly surrounded by colours and they play a powerful role in influencing our daily lives. Most of the time we are not even aware of this phenomenon. Yes, simple changes in colour can contribute to our health and wellbeing as wearing our favourite colour instantly elevates our mood and self-esteem.

But did you know that your personality has a colour as well?

According to Real Colors Personality Instrument, there are four different personality colours: gold, blue, green and orange. These four different colours represent different characteristic categories and none of us are just one colour - everyone has each colour, but one colour may be more dominant than any of the other in our personality.

In my case, I'm undeniably orange.

Those with orange colour personality strengths tend to be witty, spontaneous, generous, optimistic, eager and bold. Freedom to act is also important to an Orange. We are out-of-box thinkers and that makes us good at overcoming barriers in our work.  And yes, we need flexibility in choosing how tasks are completed... I hope my manager reads this...

Psychology aside (the assessment is based on personality theory of Carl Jung), orange is my fourth favourite colour, right after beige, white and navy. That's the gold personality element in me I guess...

So what is your personality colour?
