The Timeless Appeal of Linen

Linen is one of the oldest textiles in the world, dating back over 30 000 years ago according to some historians.

And we are still wearing it today.

So what makes linen so sought-after?

From my own perspective of 'enlightened minimalism', there are at least two properties of linen that make it truly timeless:

The colour

The natural linen fabric comes in neutral shades of beige - from taupe beige with greyish undertone to my favourite oatmeal beige. There is a shade of beige for everyone.

And beige linen is, of course, the perfect base to display your other colours...

The durability

Linen is super resilient and durable, making your favourite dress or trousers very long-lasting.

That alone contributes to more sustainable fashion, less consumerism and better appreciation of our planet Earth.

It is also recyclable and biodegradable, therefore environmentally friendly.

Yes, it wrinkles easily. But that has not stopped us from loving linen for over 30 000 years...
